I suppose you have all found the web site about the novelty cornetist by Louis Panico. This site lists the contents of a book which was available in the early part of this century. Louis Panico was the lead trumpeter with the Isham Jones Orchestra. He also had his own swing/jazz band after his stint with the Jones orchestra. Anyway ...my point being...this is a rare book. Did you all see one listed on ebay? It was listed as a cornet tricks book. Louis Panico wrote this book explaining how to master the tricks he had learnt. Everything from the horse whinny, to making the cornet laugh...(wabash blues is the song title if you want to hear this)...Its a great book.
Well, all you ebayers....sorry, but I won this. And under $30.00.!!! Well, I can happily say, its probably the only one of its kind in Australia! (Thats where it has been shipped to.) But dont feel dissapointed fellow trumpeters....as I said in the first line...the book has been scanned and is available online for all to enjoy...and best of all...its free!
So thanks to G.Richards for putting it on the web, and thanks to him again, for educating me about this book. If not for him, I wouldnt have known what to look for. )
Thanks buddy.
Happy high notes to you all.

Would you like to enlighten us with the web site?

Thanks,
Phil
