I'm sure it's going to be great, and I'm looking forward to it. Just as a minor point, though - Larry Larson (who posts here sometimes ) premiered the Estacio last March. |

It's true - I premiered it in March of 2017 with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony. However, I really look forward to hearing Andrew play this new masterpiece from my vantage point on the other side of the bell! This Concerto is the product of literally 20 years of discussions with brilliant composer and friend John Estacio. It deserves to join the canon of 21st Century trumpet masterpieces.
As an extraordinary side-note, John's Concerto will be performed by 19 different orchestras across Canada! So far it has enjoyed about 9 of those 19. I truly hope it makes its way outside of Canadian borders! |
