The 180 series is AFTER Bach moved to Elkhart. They changed over to a 1 piece valve block. I believe this took place in the late 70s early 80s. In around 2009 or 2010 Bach decided to go back to its origins and make a 2 piece valve block again and that was the Artesian series which was ab190 Artesian, Ac190 and e cou8nterparts. Recently they expanded on those and added a 43 bell as well as some other options and that is the rest of the 190 line. Continued with the two piece valve block and side seam bell and vintage style bracing that the Mount Vernon and new York Bachs had.

The 190-37 came out about two or three years ago. ( I bought one and love it) The 190-43 was added this last year. The 190-37 it is much like the 180-37 I bought in 1967 and played all through college, although I didn't appreciate it enough at the time.

Well if you had a 180s37 in the late 60s then the switch to the 180 happened right after the move to Elkhart. The 180 series did not start till they made the single piece valve block. I was not quite sure of the dates they started. But yes the 190-37 was the 50th anniversary horn. They took the 190 Artisan and put a side seam 37 bell on it and a red interior case. The commercial is also a 190 series as is the Mariachi 19043B that came out in 2013 I believe.
