I wanted to give a 'shout out' to the new Messina trumpet covers/bags that have been up on EBAY lately. They are reasonably priced and even will engrave your name on them for free. I got one 6 piece bag for my trumpet mouthpieces, one 6 piece bag for my flugel pieces, and one 3 piece bag for when I am travelling with my pocket trumpet. They are quality cases and look really cool! All the very best, Lex

They look good, but shouldn't this post be in the "For Sale" forum?

Lex, where's a link for those who might want to buy them?

Oh no, I'm not selling them, I just got them! I guess you could go to EBAY and search for 'Messina mouthpiece covers'. I just happened to see them when searching for mouthpieces on EBAY.. my current mouthpiece bag was falling apart, so decided to give these a try.

p.s. - FWIW, I'm not getting anything from them from endorsing these.. Just wanted to share about these nice covers in case other players are interested.. I see a lot of players I work with with some 'ratty' looking mouthpiece bags. I used to be one of those sorry folks..believe it or not..at least till yesterday..haha!!

Keh, if you dont live in the NY tri-state area, you have my permission to use my name on your mouthpiece cases. But, if you live closer to me, i wouldn't recommend it, since we may run into each other on a gig, and that could result in confusion! 😀😃

If that camo material works properly, you're going to have a really hard time finding your mouthpieces.

Hahaha!! It's funny because it's TRUE! Most Friday nights, I have a steady jazz quartet gig down at a fancy steakhouse in Wall St. NYC. There's a really fancy patterned carpet laid down. I had laid down my camo bag on the floor next to my horn and set everything up. When we came back to start the first set, I was looking around on the floor for like 10 seconds because I couldn't find the bag! Too funny..You must be psychic Randy

Yeah, but you'll look so macho doing it.

My shotgun cartridge belt slide helps with that too

Nah, no psychic powers that I'm aware of. I just understand the purpose of camo.
