If your jaw is moving too much when playing wide intervals,you might be dropping your jaw more than you need to for the low register.Try playing Clarke's first page of chromatic scales very soft,whispered (ppp) with a centered sound.These should be easier too play clean by relaxing the lips and not dropping the jaw quite as much.
Think of keeping the lips together in all registers. |
