Was wondering if you guys in charge of TH are trying to fix the problem of the wrong photos showing up in the marketplace. I have mouthpieces for sell and the photo that shows up in the ad is of a trumpet not the mouthpiece photo I uploaded. Do you have a timeline on when this might be fixed.

Can you send me the url for the ad you're having trouble with? It's complicated but it has to do with caching and the recent data loss we experienced.

If it's any help, I have had a constant problem posting there. As an alternate, I have made a few regular forum posts on for-sale items but these posts have been involuntarily deleted.

It seems a little strange that no one fixes this but penalizes me for using an alternate when the same, seemingly, people won't address the main problem to begin with.

Here are the 2 ads but I have noticed other ads with the same issue.

Yes, as said above, the problem seems to be persistent among several recently-placed ads. The photos are all from other ads currently on the system, and I noticed this issue just this week.

Thanks!

"People" is Todd (sysadmin) and he is the only one who can help. He has a day job. Moderators only work in the Forum area and have nothing to do with (and no control over) the Marketplace. If you have a problem in the Marketplace, PM Todd (username: trumpetherald) for assistance.

Private "for-sale" posts became a huge problem in the past for several reasons and are prohibited in the Forums.

Those ads appear correctly to me. You're experiencing image caching in your browser.

Try control-F5 to force a complete refresh of the page and fetch the correct the images.

I'll see if I can adjust some things related to caching and help the problem correct.

That fixed the problem on my system. Never knew about control-F5. Thanks for the education.

Thanks for your interest and reply.

I can print my information and usually have my photos show up in the ad draft, but for some reason, then when I go to post the ad, it doesn't post.

Try posting the ad first with no photos. You shouldn't have any trouble.

If you then edit the ad and try to add photos, but it fails, your photos are too large. You'll need to reduce the size of the images. 1024 as the largest dimension is plenty.

Let me know what works out.

Thank you very much for the work-arounds. I'll let you know if there is still a problem. Thanks again.
