Curious what the name of the piece is. Some really flying playing by the soloists.

The song is titled "Move". This is from a live jam session featuring, in solo order, Clark Terry, Clifford Brown and Maynard Ferguson. "Move" is a song based upon George Gershwin's "I've Got Rhythm".

This YouTube clip has been heavily edited. The original recording is over 15 minutes in length with all performers on stage taking solos.

The album is Jam Session. If you're not aware of it this is a pairing with another album by the same band, Dinah Jams (Dinah Washington). Worth a listen.

I'm not sure if the tune occurred earlier on record but it was made famous on the Birth of the Cool album.
