I have a horn with about 70% lacquer remaining. I'd like to remove the remainder and go with raw brass. Any DIY'ers out there with a recommended method? Thanks!

Start with a major search engine.

Enter “site:trumpetherald.com lacquer remove”

Read the large number of threads that cover this topic.

Seriously this has been discussed quite a bit.

Brand and age matters. Some have nitrocellulose lacquer, which comes of if you shout at it and some have epoxy lacquer which doesn't like to come off at all.
