This is the guy who has a half dozen or so clips on You Tube in which he plays jazz standards on a variety of vintage horns. He plays with a backing track in his garage and he's really good! Check him out on his Connstellation 28A cornet playing 'Round Midnight.

He certainly demonstrates why we only need one instrument. He sounds the same on everything he plays.

I hear this all the time. There are horns he plays that don't fit him at all. Some fit his style very well and he sounds much nicer on them. So I guess I've never agreed with this statement. Style of playing the same. Maybe. Sounding the same? No. I've recorded myself often on different setups and there are marked differences.

I sound different on my Martin ~Handcraft~ Flugelhorn, compared to how a sound on my Ovation electro-acoustic mandolin .
