So I just saw this on youtube that the new Yamaha Vizzutti artist has hit the market. Sadly the youtube video only comments on the cosmetic things. Anyone get a blow on it? I have been curious about this horn and how it compares still the other artist (New York and Chicago).

is this another run on the same specs as the original 9335 VS? Or did something change?

The yamaha website in the Netherlands states that the Allen Vizzutti Limited Edition is based on the current Xeno Artist New York Series YTR-9335NYS model.

There are some modifications:
- Brass valve stems
- Different 1 valve slide
- Different 3 valve slide pull knob
- Synthetic valve guides
- Gold plated valve buttons and caps. Buttons with black mother of pearle

Is there somebody that tested the 9335 VS?

Looks to be a normal follow up to the old Vizzutti.
Looks like it has the newer MB2 leadpipe like the 9335NYS-II
Still has the extra 1st slide brace like the 9335CHS-II

Bell bend and bells upgraded like the NY and CHS.
Still has the fatter 3rd slide knob.
Still has brass stems.

So....pretty much the same as the last with upgrades following the Artist models

I played the original vizzutti a few years ago and it still haunts me how well it played. I'm very happy on my current setup but I'd be really interested in trying out the new model.

Is it priced like some of the other Yamaha Artist models, north of $4K, or closer to the price of the Xenos?

Thanks.

Its priced the same as the other artist models afaik. I bought it very slightly used.

Blows very free even in the upper range, and perfect intonation throughout the range.

I Get more compliments on the sound than i do on my Bach 43 but i can't tell much from behind the horn.

Slots well up to high A ... assuming higher if somebody has the chops

Do you play the gen 1 or the gen 2 that just came out this past month or so? And the yamaha website describes the Vizzutti horn as more resistance than the New York II but I heard people describe the gen 1 as more open than the New York. I have played and like the Chicago model but never got a chance to play a Vizzutti model horn and am very curious on how the blow is (I currently play a Schilke S32L and been thinking about switching to a Yamaha Artist Bb since everything I play on is a Yamaha Artist trumpet).

I play the original model.. never played any other Yamaha. It blows free compared to my Bach. Not quite as open as my Benge MLP IF I remember correctly, but, that is a good thing for my playing
