|
|
I always enjoyed horn sections in pop music during my youth. Motown, latino ...anything with pretty easy slow harmonized sections...the odd solo, really did it for me. Suavacito by Malo might be a great example or anything from Motown. I'm new to trumpet and don't know where to find the scores for this stuff. Would anyone happen to know ? Thanks. |

There are some published things.
Hal Leonard would be a good place to start.
There are also guys on the internet that sell
horn charts for all that stuff.
If you do a little research on the internet I'm sure you'll
find what you looking for. |

I have never dealt with this guy but I have friends who have and they say he is nice and quick to respond. From what I understand, the charts are accurate:

You can get a ton off of the internet in MIDI files. I use vanbasco to start with.

Import them into a music program and clean then up, sometimes it takes a little work. I use Band in a Box http://www.pgmusic.com/
or Sibelius, http://www.avid.com/sibelius, expensive and probably does more than you need.
Or, as an alternative, I'll be glad to help you out. I've got a ton I'll sell you, cheaply. Just PM me. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

Or, do it like we did back in the day. Transcribe off the recordings. Great ear training. |
