Yep!

Here's another one of Guido in a recording studio with a rhythm section. They play "My Romance". Note that there is no music, they just wanted to play the tune..... in one take.

Tasty. I could listen to this all day. Can't wait to hear you live!

Flip has a version of Emily on one of his CDs that is simply wonderful.

Warm regards,

Guido could get as breathy a tone as anyone when he wanted, it would seem.

If that doesn't come as easily to you and your flgl -- and if it is something that you want -- there is a possibility -- the Whisper Penny. For me, it works best with the biggest/deepest mpcs. Also cuts down on volume a bit.

Think of it as a mute.

Thanks so much for all the replies thus far! To add to this fantastic list, I want to link a phenomenal recording I discovered just today. Enjoy!

So, just to provide a bit of variety...

Iwan Williams (RIP) with YBS band (at the time, comfortably the best BBB on the planet, and still arguably the best of all time)

Anything and everything Sergei Nakariakov has done on flugelhorn is fantastic, here’s just the tiniest taste...

This is what I'd like to sound like on flugelhorn.

Mike Metheny! Studied with him while at Berklee College in Boston . . .

He has one of the most smooth Flugelhorn sounds!

Here's another clip from Jan van Duikeren, this one's a little mellower than the one with Candy Dufler.
