Homebilly,
Since nobody was bothering to answer this thread,
I posted a few questions scattered throughout various forums.
But those posts were ignored, too.
So I guess I'll leave TH and find somewhere else to post.
Thanks for being a crowd of one who rushed to this original thread of mine

The only time I ever see tenor horns is when I go to North American Brass Band Summer School, one time per year. _________________ Richard Ashmore

TH = Trumpet Herald, not Tenor Horn. Perhaps you should at least consider the remote possibility that, being a trumpet forum, nobody knows much about tenor horns, and rather than ignoring you simply didn't have anything to say. _________________ "After silence, that which best expresses the inexpressible, is music" - Aldous Huxley

I posted in threads that were already devoted to the subject of Tenor Horns, but my posts were ignored.
You know perfectly well that Tenor Horns have been occasionally discussed here before, as a search of TH proves.
Several TH members play Tenor Horn.

I think one of the reasons that you've seen so few replies is that you were deleting your posts less than 24 hours after posting. It's pretty strange for you to be complaining about people "ignoring" you when you're so impatient. _________________ '75 Bach Strad 180ML/37

Maybe there aren't any here now, or they are on vacation, or didn't feel they had anything to contribute. Immediately assuming the worst about people seems unkind and unlikely to be fruitful in the long wrong.
As a matter of fact, I had no idea there were other tenor horn threads, and had no reason to search for them. Never played one, never really paid attention if there are (or are not, don't know) such threads, and despite being on TH over twenty years now I have not read let alone remembered every thread nor know whom on TH plays tenor horn.
I am beginning to understand why there might not be a tenor horn forum, however... _________________ "After silence, that which best expresses the inexpressible, is music" - Aldous Huxley
I certainly didn't mean to imply your posts were inappropriate. What I meant was that over the many years I have been on this site, the questions you are asking are unique.
This is great for people who are bored with the normal discussions, but also lowers the chance that you will get a reply.
The second thread you quote might not be getting a response because, one, it is a mouthpiece question in the horns forum. Second, the person who mentioned the mouthpieces in question did so nearly two years ago and hasn't posted in nearly two years.
If you are really looking to get responses start a thread with no information about yourself and ask what the best pro horn is appropriate for you. Those type of threads allow you to find out what everyone currently owns since that horn is obviously the best for everyone.
I do hope that you find people to discuss your passion with, whether it be here or somewhere else.

Good luck.
I sincerely thank you for your polite post.
I do not want to be a complaining troublemaker here.
I have searched and searched for another Web site with high-traffic discussions, but I have not found any such site.
I think it is time for me to give up.
Perhaps I will have some limited success by trying to email respected authorities.
But I admit that the social contact in TH would have been nice.
PS
I played vintage trumpets and cornets for 40 years,
so I can offer much good advice regarding them,
but I don't need to solicit advice regarding trumpets and cornets.
