Hi,
I'm sharing this today because I completed my big project:
Transcribing and playing along to every Clifford Brown solo on his 1955 album Study in Brown in honor of the astounding mastery of his playing and the beauty of jazz. Here is a playlist with all 9 videos - still working on some of them! SuBsCrIbE if you like.
BTW, I am selling that horn - Powell custom Bb if interested.

Awesome! Did you ghost tongue some of the lines in those faster solos or single tongue them? I've worked a lot on Clifford's solo on Daahoud from the Jazz Immortal record, and I can single-tongue those lines, but I can't quite yet figure out how to ghost tongue with the online resources that I've found. A roadblock that I've encountered with transcribing Clifford Brown is the drop off in my ability to single tongue some of his crazy fast lines that he clearly ghost tongues. _________________ Every Villain Is Lemons |
