Hey TH members. Looking for some tenor sax parts/charts for a few tunes. Make Me Smile, Beginnings, Does Anybody Know, Vehicle.

Willing to pay $ for decent pdf files.

Thanks.

I'm not clear from your thread title and post. Are you looking for recorded backgrounds for tenor sax to play along with?

A band I occasionally sub in does all those with the Chicago tunes medleyed in that exact order,...with no break. Brutal. Especially since they almost always do it late in the gig near the end of the last set.

I'm pretty sure I know which band member transcribed the trumpet, trombone and sax parts. When I've asked before he was reluctant to share, for money or otherwise. Probably prefers to keep a low profile given his other paying music gigs. Sorry, I can't be of more help.

Looking for sheet music transcriptions for sax that matches the original recordings. Thanks.

Try Andrew White of Andrew's Music, Wash. D.C He transcribed most of Coltrane's solos. He's irascible, hard to get ahold of but he's also a genius. Played with many of the big boys. Even was an orchestral oboe player.

The Charlie Parker Omnibook. But get the Eb book not the Bb book. Seems wrong (unless you want to play along with the recordings), but the tessituras will be wrong, something that matters to me.
