| Hello, I am new to this forum and I am also a trumpet beginner. In my high school, music/art is a requirement, and I originally wanted to learn the violin because I like the wide range of classical pieces. However, I got put into band, and I actually liked the trumpet. However, I do not know many classical pieces for the trumpet. I've heard of Haydn Concerto for Trumpet, but that piece seems to be for advanced players. Does anyone know any classical pieces that are not "easy", but instead are manageable to learn? |

If I were you, I'd use the curriculum suggested pieces by the ABRMS system, which go to eight levels of proficiency. Plenty of pieces in different levels of difficulty.
