Last night was the 1 st night of the recording sessions for the soon to be released Gabrielli cd by the Metropolitan Opera Brass. It is being recorded in The Cathedral of St. John the Divine. I arrived while tracks were being recorded that I'm not playing on and all I can say is "WOW".
The unique acoustic combined with John Sheppard's arrangements and the combined forces of 16 brass is going to make for a stunning recording.
Sorry for shamelessly plugging it ,but I'm truly excited by what I heard last night.

Any word on an iTunes or CD Baby release date? Lame, I know, but I'm going to just put it into iTunes and put the disc in storage anyway, so if I could avoid shipping and save those steps (as well as the material) that would be great!

Reviving an old thread to say:

If you guys ever record another CD (and I hope you will!), maybe Strauss's Festmusik der Stadt Wien could find a place on it? (Crossing fingers optimistically...)
