This might be the first time I've had a post this old resurrected.

I appreciate all the new suggestions! I will give them a try, though instead of Crown Royal I think I'll buy a bottle of Jack and will go to WalMart and buy a cloth bag to put it in temporarily.

I agree - the old, blue spyder stand is the best I've ever had. I either use it or or just don't bother with a stand.

When I broke mine it said "Made in West Germany". Stepped on it and FUBARed it. Need a new one.

Great stand. Close to the floor.

I've heard the new ones are not as good. Let us what the deal is if you get one....
