Hi,

Is someone able to confirm the cup volume of the GR 66C? The comparison table on the GR website has it marked as 0.08 but I'm not sure if that is correct.

With the 65C and 67C the cup volume is larger than the respective C* and C** and is placed lowest in of the three in the table.

However, the 66C is described as having a smaller cup volume than the 66C* or 66C**.

Is this a mistake or is the 66C genuinely different to the other C cup models in comparison to the other respective C* and C** models?

Many thanks

Probably a mistake, but you could email the company and get the real answer.

Brian usually responds immediately, no later than the next day.

Yes that is a typo.

66C=.0840 The big difference between the C, C**, and C* is the entrance to the throat. Most open on the C, middle of the road on the C**, tighter on the C*.

C* plays with the most resistance of the three models and is a great orchestral Bb trumpet mouthpiece.
C** is a little more open and very popular on C trumpet.
C is the most open of the three and is also popular on C trumpet for those wanting a big open blow.
