I came across a Trump Glitterite 5 mouthpiece. It was loose in an old Pan Am case, getting the better end of a centurylong battle with the Pan Am trumpet inside. Found in an attic. It went into my mouthpiece box. Now I found a use!

Its backbore is the only one I have that fits compatibility with the receiver of my 1926 Buescher true tone Model 9. It feels a little tight. However, can I have it drilled out to be more freeflowing/open? Has anyone here endeavored this and been satisfied with the results?

The modern mouthpieces I have currently will not fit this trumpet!

Regards
