Since it has been verified on another thread that Big Bands have not gone extinct – although they might be endangered, threatened, or vulnerable depending on their local habitat (and on their ability to successfully mate and reproduce) – here’s a useful resource for Big Band (and other) charts.

Maybe I´m doing something wrong but all sites present arrangements by the same guy, Wycliffe Gordon, and, exactly the same songs!
I´v e been in touch with Marina Music prior to this and their catalogue offers quite a lot of good scores - but on this link nothing but WG etc.
If you know the trick please disclose it

There's a note near the top of the page saying that links were corrupted in 2016, so they still haven't fixed them. If you do web searches for those names (such as Marina Music), you will find the sites.

As a public service, here are a few good online big band chart sources. Some for sale, others free for downloading:

https://www.bigbandcharts.net/

Good service and a great catalog!

http://www.mindformusic.com/

Lots of free charts!

http://www.ejazzlines.com/

Great service and wonderful selection.

https://www.projazzcharts.com/

Some great composers and arrangers.

http://www.armyfieldband.com/education/perspectives

Some great charts free for downloading from the US Army Jazz Ambassadors. I have programmed several of these on concerts, and can vouch for the quality writing.

https://www.pdfjazzmusic.com/

Great writers!

There are more online chart sources, but to avoid a long and lumbering post, these are a few I have used extensively. Hope this helps some of you directors out there.

Enjoy!

Dave

The source for one of my absolutely favorite big band writer/arranger's work.

https://www.tomkubis.com/big-band-all

His list of charts is extensive and all amazingly cool.

I'm not affiliated with Tom but I have met him and I see him locally as often as I can.

Yes -- that seems to be the case in Group One and Group Two. I had explored only Group Three: "Individual Arrangers, famous and not-so-famous" and Group Four: "Bandleaders, collectors and dealers in out-of-print charts, transcriptions, "take downs" and "record copies."" Some of these will sell copies of their charts, others will trade if you ask nicely.

Sorry not to have been more familiar with the site before sending anyone in that direction but there is a lot of material in groups three and four.

If you'd like to check out some lesser known composers

http://pigletmusic.com/product-category/jazz-ensemble-sheet-music/big-bands-stage-bands/medium/

(ironically, a couple of my arrangements are selling very very well through a well known publisher, but not my own site. People stick with what they know I understand....)
