Assuming you've tried and liked a Yamaha Bobby Shew Lead, what's a mouthpiece you liked even better for whatever kind of playing you like the Yamaha for?

Any particular reason?
Excuse to safari maybe? (Potentially dangerous question).

To avoid going too far into uncharted territory on the safari.

My possibly incorrect assumption is that if someone is comfortable with the Shew Lead I might find something else they like to be functional.

From my expiriance the Shew lead is a great lead piece but the rim is razor sharp for my taste , if like it but the rim is the problem send it to Reeves shop to cut the rim and add a 42 rim , a friend of mine as do this and he loves it.

Regards

I don't have a problem with the rim - it's pretty much my current favorite mp but I don't discount the possibility that I could like something better.

Long ago I had a Yamaha Bobby Shew Lead. Gambled on a Monette LT BLD and stuck with it for about 8 years before I started exploring larger equipment.

Edit: I just remembered that I had a Giardinelli 5M and a Stork 3C at that time that I also enjoyed quite a lot. The 3C was definitely a lot bigger and I used it for concert band and brass ensemble at the time.
