Things have changed a lot in Las Vegas. The jazz scene is virtually dead there. You can't get the (supposed) Las Vegas Jazz Society to even respond to you. Not that this isn't a problem everywhere. It's just that Las Vegas used to have a lot of live shows with awesome trumpet players. No more. _________________ HERMOKIWI

You mean to tell me that Vegas was once more than streets littered with porn?
Used to also be littered with broken dreams as well... _________________ Schilke B1

ALL wonders of the world have been 'recreated' in Vegas .. Java, Paris, NY, Monte Carlo etc. Incredibly, the original theme that brought singers to the strip, that came with orchestras, which represented the culture of the town, has been evacuated. . .and the most difficult to recreate now :

Go check out David Perrico and his Pop Strings Orchestra at Cleopatra's Barge in Caesar's Palace. They play every Friday/Saturday around 10pm. He is a staple in the Trumpet Community out there. Absolutely great show. _________________ -------------------------------------------------------
