Won an auction on Shopgoodwill for a Bach 310 Shephards crook cornet . It will arrive tomorrow.
Wondering how the two cornets compare? What are you experience with these cornets? _________________ No musical instrument at this time. |

I think the cr310 is a fantastic little cornet. It’s got a really nice cornet sound with a 5b and down right traditional with a Wick 4. I will not part with mine _________________ a few different ones |

Same here. I have a Bach 310, and it is really handy, and changes depending on mouthpiece. Mine came with a Bach 6, and sounds really traditional with that piece. I play mainly Marcinkiewicz, and a 301 works really well too. I have a Boston cookie-cutter, and the 310 sounds very much like a flugelhorn with that piece. _________________ Felton (Butch) Bohannon |

The Bach 310 cornet arrived today. It came with a S series 5 B mouthpiece. Played a little today. Like the sound, haven't decided on what mouthpiece I will pair it with yet. _________________ No musical instrument at this time. |

I’ve heard they approach the Strad 184 in many ways.
I love how short it is and the valve action is quite good. I wish mine had triggers. I personally wouldn’t call it a mere student horn _________________ a few different ones |

Decided on my mouthpiece choices on my Bach 310 Shephard's crook cornet. Using my Denis Wick 2 C cornet mouthpiece and Yamaha 16 E mouthpiece.
Still trying to figure out, why the mouthpiece receiver on this cornet is CR 300 instead of CR 310. _________________ No musical instrument at this time. |

Perhaps the receiver was changed or the whole leadpipe. They are nice cornets though, so much so that I often wonder if I need a a matching cr300 _________________ a few different ones |

Show my Bach 310 to my music teacher. He looked at the cornet, showed my the signs of the repair. Guess they didn't have a 310 receiver.
Had two Bach 300 cornets, one was excellent and the other was a dog.
Staying with Shepherds crook cornets.
Won a bid on a trumpet yesterday on Shopgoodwill. This will be my backup trumpet. _________________ No musical instrument at this time. |
