I'm a trumpet student at a specialist school. My mum also plays cornet, when she plays she makes a really thin, reedy sound, and I've noticed that this is down to the fact that when she plays she scrunches up her lower face and is extremely tense.
I was wondering if anyone could recommend some exercises/tips/any help at all to help her relax her facial muscles?
Thanks xx |

I just posted a reply in one of the other threads here about the 19/30s exercises. They helped me to reduce tension and increase endurance. _________________ Music is a fire in your belly, fighting to get out. You'd better put a horn in the way before someone gets hurt. |
