I suggested this to a fellow trumpet player as a joke but, on reflection, using a vibrator on the lips to get the blood flowing makes sense - though it might look more than a bit strange. I'm wondering if anyone has ever actually tried this with any regularity and what, if any, difference it made?

Gad, another gimmick.
Doesn't fluttering the lips or buzzing get the blood flowing?

I was expecting the first post to say "Now that I have your attention..."

Anyway, an electric toothbrush might be a better option.

There was that product - the links are in posts above - which was supposed to do exactly this.

But, as others have said, flutter your lips, it stimulates blood flow in a very similar manner. I do this post-playing each day (I play), and also before I play each morning (well... the days I play)

By combining this with some breathing exercises while walking the dog, I get it all done well before gentleman's hours arrive and I can start making a noise! And it's free... waste of time and money, let alone resources, to buy something to do what you can already!

cheers

Andy

Flapping the lips like a Horse does the same exact thing.
