| In the market to buy a new mouthpiece and I currently use a 1 1/2 C. While looking I noticed differences in the rim width as cup size increased. What are the benefits or drawbacks of a wider rim over a smaller one??? |

A wider rim distributes the pressure over a larger area. Can help endurance. Drawbacks are the possibility of less flexibility and/or poorer articulation. A lot does depend on the rim shape however.
