I logged in to post an item in Marketplace and my authentication phrase didn't show up at the Activate Your Marketplace Account screen. This is the first time that has happened since I've been on, and I followed all directions on the page (open new window, go to www.trumpetherald.com, etc.)

Is the site having problems or has someone hijacked the marketplace login today?

That phrase will only show up on computer/browser combinations that you have already logged in on. If you return to the page now on the same browser/computer combo, you should be in good shape.

Just wanted to ask - is it valid to post a "want to buy/trade" ad in the marketplace? Or where can that be posted if at all?

Figured it's easiest to ask here since any search queries don't give specific enough threads.

Yes -- OK in the Marketplace, not in the Forums.

Its because you dont have enough posts yet. you need five on the site to be allowed to post in the marketplace

My experience is that photos less than 1 MB will work fine.

Hmmm...
I just came across a Callet Sima trumpet for sale from a seller with only one post. I am interested in the trumpet, but wonder how it got listed, and how I can safely proceed?

What is the Trumpetherald recommended approach for conducting a sale/purchase so that we can feel safe in making a purchase ?

Thanks for any advice.

Todd's name is "trumpetherald". He has a reply in this thread about 14 messages back.

Go to the "messages" section in this forum. For example, at the top of this page, click the link that says "You have no new messages". This will take you to the message area, where you can send him a message.

Got it but not hearing back ever. I'd like to check when a member joined and yes I do see date joined in the listing but God this site has tens of thousands of members and no matter how i sort, it's just one page at a time for searching and the person i'm looking for is probably 500 pages in.

Open your favorite search engine and enter “site:trumpetherald.com username” where username is the person you are wanting to look up.

If that user has posted you should get a link to one of their posts.

For instance when I used your username one of the links in the search results is:

https://www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1639787
“Nov 09, 2021 · Abraxas wrote: I collect Conn 80A and 80A like Cornets and their pitch change mechanism moves three slides to accomplish the same task. The Victor cornets, at their peak…”

Click on one of the links. Then click on the “Profile” button at the bottom of that post.

That will take you to the user’s profile.

Thanks... unfortunately this user has not posted anything ever, so that in itself is good to know. Would be also nice to know when he joined.
