Hi everyone, over the last two years I have been working with the Mel Broiles estate to help bring his books back into circulation. I am thrilled to announce that today the first release has hit qPress, and I can't wait to share it with you.

As you know, Mel was principal trumpet of the Metropolitan Opera from 1958 until he retired in 2003. He is widely held as one of the finest orchestral players in modern history, and was a larger then life character, all at the same time.

We will be doing monthly releases until all of the books are back, and the first four landed today. Here is what you will find:

Great news! Will his solo "Vernal Equinox" with concert band accompaniment be available (or is it already)?

That is a great question. It will be going up in the next month or two, for sure trumpet and piano, but all available arrangements we will be publishing.

Pretty exciting stuff.

Hey everyone, just another update. Today we launched Mel Broiles' Three Part collection "Trumpet Studies and Duets Books 1, 2, and 3".

These books were an absolute staple of my years in university, and I have kept them close by ever since. From day one they are available as digital or print editions, and I can't wait to get these into the hands of trumpeters worldwide.

I mean, the duets alone in these books are worth a lifetime of practice. How insane are they?!?!

You can find them all below. Enjoy!

Broiles Trumpet Studies & Duets Book 1

Broiles Trumpet Studies & Duets Book 2

Broiles Trumpet Studies & Duets Book 3

Today is a very exciting day! Not only did qPress just release the 3 books Autograph Collection by Mel Broiles, but his book "One Liners, 100 Mini Trumpet Studies" is available here for the first time ever as a posthumous release. It is worth a look, there is no other book like it in the world.

Broiles One Liners, 100 Mini Trumpet Studies

Broiles Orchestral Interpretations for Trumpet

Broiles Transposition for Orchestral Trumpet
