Looking for any info on this horn. Serial number dates it to 1908. Nice high pitch horn, plays well, but this is the first horn I have seen with a "Class B" designation. Have no idea what that means and haven't found much info on the net. Any body have any info? Thanx |

A hint can be found here. See page 45 footnotes 7 & 8. Also page 46 says “most extant Besson & Co instruments are stamped ‘CLASS A’.”

Thanx for the info. I guess that means the "class B' instruments either had lighter plating or another feature not included. |
