As high as you can with a good tone. If your mechanics are good then range will not be an issue. If you have just gotten braces on then you will have to rebuild your embouchure with a lot of basics (low & slow long tones, lip slurs, articulation studies).

I have 10th grade student who plays F above the staff.
But everyone is different. I also have a 10th grade student who struggles with a C above the staff.
