Hello,
I thought I would introduce something that I have been working on for a while.
It's a Martin Database that I compiled of a lot of information I have accumulated and photographs that I have personally taken.
This is not a History of the Martin Band Instruments - but is more a nod to the horns and the designs.
In itself I think it probably represents the most detailed guide you will find on the horns to date. (Some of the other information - Trumpetgear Wordpress for example) is information I have posted in the past - and some of it is incorrect.

I have included high quality images of around 30-35 models that I have owned/collected over the past 10+ years as well as reference materials and some rare information.

Everything is broken down into 16 individual sections.

My hope is that it will be shared and referred to.
It's a living group of information that will be updated over time as I receive more horns and information.

Be sure to check out the topic about condition also - I think it might make for some interesting discussion.

You can view it here:

Thanks, it's a starting point.
I will be gradually adding to it. I have a few documents to upload as well as at least 3-5 unique instruments to add which are currently in repairs. (Very early Large Bore, IBICO models, Nickel Bell Handcraft Imperial and a transitional Dasant Trumpet).

Very nice resource.

In regards to bore sizes for Committes and HC Committees, you have the #1 small bore listed at .455, and #2 bores at .451-.453.

I am assuming this is a typo. If not, it is VERY interesting that the #1 bore would be larger than a #2 bore.

Hi Chris, it's a typo - should be .445 - thanks for letting me know. Off to correct it now.
