6 months ago I had 50 or so horns .... all different types (trumpets/cornets/flugels) and keys. I am down to 5 Bbs and a Flugel now with a couple of "stragglers" that just aren't even worth trying to sell so I don't even count them. Lol

Does the phrase "We're practically giving these things away!!" ring a bell?!! Lol In all seriousness, I traded several to get the two Van Laars listed below. And the others I sold pretty quickly. It helped that I had a lot of horns that people knew I had and already wanted. So they jumped when I announced I was selling off my collection.

| At the moment, just two- a Lawler Model T and a Getzen Eterna Severinson. I also have my father's trumpet he played in high school in the middle 20's, a Vega if I recall. I used to have a few more trumpets and cornets which I donated to a friend of mine that reconditiones old horns for use in middle schools by students that may not be able top afford their own horn. |

I also have about 28-30, depending on how you count them........what just happened to me shows that they are too many.....I was looking at my many cases in my trumpet/recording studio and opened one up just to see what was in it. A mint Olds was there that I did not even know I had...it is NOT an Ambassador, it has amato water keys and only says "Olds, Elkhart, IN, USA...... it plays very well & seems like it was saved brand new in someone's vault...not a scratch or mod on it.....a bit scary that I don't even know what horns I have!!

I’ve heard stories of trumpet makers sending trumpets to various virtuosos.
I know Wynton has given many a horn away, and it’s probably not because he has too few trumpets. |

I only have my trusty Olds Ambassador custom pro deluxe trumpet that I originally traded my intermediate-level Committee trumpet for. The Ambassador has a rare custom copper lead pipe from the F.E. Olds factory.
Not sure why this is but when I blow notes into the horn, the sound the horn reminds me of sex. |

If this is a genuine custom pro deluxe, it should also have a step bore. But I don't think they were made after the move to Fullerton.
