Bozza - Sonatine
Jan Bach - Laudes
Dahl - Music for Brass (although it works best if you can have both a bass trombone and a tuba)
Bohme - Sextet is also great if you can find another trumpet

It’s very timely to mark his passing, but the wonderful Andre’ Previn Brass quintet is well worth it!
I just can’t remember the title off hand...
Also some great arrangements by Verne Reynolds of some Renaissance pieces—Holborne, Ferrebosco, etc. in about eight different collections.

Some great stuff already posted.
Some votes from me:
Lafosse - Suite Impromptu
Gale - Sound of Music
Ewald - 2
Crespo - Suite Americana
Don't know why I enjoy the Lafosse so much, but I do: Western Brass Quintet recorded it...its on youtube. Added that arrangement to the Gale choices. And I love every ewald, but 2 is my choice of the bunch. |

Thanks for sharing your website. I'm interested to see what your data looks like, which piece were selected by the surveying participants, in your research. Any data on how often those top 30 pieces get performed and which of the 30 are performed the most?
Thanks! _________________ "You need F-15's..." Joe Biden |

There are SSOO many unmentioned works that are on my list... Favortie? Like asking which is your favorite M&M, or favorite beer... the one that's in my hand, or even better "the next one".
From those mentioned before, Monteregian Hills, Cheetham Scherzo, Ewald - 1,2,3. But all depends upon the ability of the group. Playing them poorly is equally as bad as it is great to play them well.
Others my book that I love to play:
Fly Me to The Moon - (Gale?)
Funny Valentine - Pierce
What are You Doing the Rest of Your Life
A Child is Born
Cohan Medley
MGM Medley
Randall Thompson Alleluia -(Brenner?)
if I sat here longer, the list would grow and grow..... _________________ Freelance Performer/Educator

So many great options above. Few more to add:
Music Hall Suite by Horowitz is great fun.
Coup de Brass by Fisher Tull is a quick quirky showy encore or intro
Nagel This Old Man March is great for Children's concerts _________________ Peter Comerford
