Many of you have probably already seen this FB post. I was curious of the model, and realized it was probably in the comments. It's supposedly a Holton from around 1925. Can someone confirm this? It's certainly beautiful.

Second generation Holton Revelation with the original valve porting (1922-1926) in finish C (though that may be new plating from restoration - looks really good for that old). That's an original case for that period also.

Edit: Now that I am seeing it on a screen bigger than my phone, I'll add that it is the Low Pitch version, for which that is the correct case (the HP case would have holders for the extra LP slide set), sp other than the lyre and cleaning rod, this is a complete original kit - pretty amazing given the history.

Awesome. This guy Ken is the director of the community band I play in. He said Monday night that the make and model are the most frequently asked questions.
This is really cool and Ken is a great director

That horn is a true veteran.....

So this is just a plain old prewar Holton Revelation from the 20s that you see a lot of on eBay huh

Interesting, didn't know they would be using those type of Holtons for service members at that time.

That would be a privately owned horn, not military.

The WWII Holton model built for the military was a modified Model 48 Revelation with standard construction tuning slide instead of reversed and a fixed pinkie hook to meet mil-spec.
