Hi,
Which model of Martin are you taking about? Is it a Magna, or does it perhaps have the Committee name on the bell?

Hi darlin... I am unable to determine the model but I will say unfortunately, alas, it does not bear the coveted Committee engraving.. . ... only see the Martin name on the bell and a serial number with a little star in front of it

It's likely a Custom Committee.
Does it look like this one?

This is my website by the way - so feel free to shoot me any questions.

This is an identification guide for Martin models. http://www.trumpet-history.com/Martin%20Trumpet%20Models.pdf

I think you will find it is one of the 4 models shown with production end dates of 1963 since the serial number puts it right around 1960.
