Hi,

I was happy to be able to buy a used Lawler C7 Deluxe, that arrived yesterday. Very good condition and it plays wonderful. BUT it has not the "Ps1" engraving on the second valve casing. So now I´m worrying a little bit if there ist something wrong with the horn (fake or a strange repair in the past??). Has anybody else a Laweler without "Ps1" or does know something about? Maybe the engraving is missing cause of the deluxe finish?
According to the seller the trumpet was ordered by himself in 2014 and he didnt pay attention to this. He seems completly trustworthy and tries to be helpful, but there is now this small red devil in my head continuing to make me uncertain. I also have emailed Roy Lawler, but he hasnt answered yet.

Thanks in advance!

Best wishes

The two / three Lawlers you can see on eBay now for example all seem to have the various engraves in a different place ...

I had a question about one of his horns and Roy responded quickly to my email. Maybe he’s out of town or something.

Finally I got some answers from Roy - he confirmed that it is one of his trumpets. Which is cool obviously. His explanation why there is no "Ps1" was a bit weird and not that logical - to me it seems that he misses some consistency with his engravings. And: he definitly shouldnt have written on his homepage that every of his trumpet has this "Ps1" stamped on.

But the trumpet plays fine and thats the most important, isnt it?!

Thanks

Thank you ! I’m happy you have been reassured the trumpet is original
I loved that horn and I’ll miss it .. but I decided to have less instruments and concentrate more on playing them (trying to) rather than oiling them and kerping them maintained ..
Enjoy your Lawler there’s not that many around you’re now member of a small passionate club of people !
