I sent a note to Tedd Waggoner Sunday night and Monday found this shocking auto-reply in my inbox:

"Thank you for your email. Tedd Waggoner is no longer with Conn-Selmer. For any matters that need resolution or other Conn-Selmer related inquiries, please contact Phil Brown, Director of Product Marketing, at pbrown@conn-selmer.com."

When last I talked to Tedd 6 weeks earlier, he was still hanging in there (though after 47 years, who can blame the guy for wanting to retire).

It is surprising Conn-Selmer has made no formal announcement to re-assure the marketplace of continuity at Bach.

Tedd has been the heart & soul of Bach for decades and is singlehandedly responsible for the company coming through the financial crisis, as well as the improvements in build quality, product diversity, and brand reputation repair after the rough years around the millennium. His importance and impact cannot be overstated, it has been huge, and his influence will be missed.

I saw several pictures and comments on Facebook. It sure is a big change. Tedd has seen it all.
