Trent thought some of you might enjoy this demo he did at the shop today comparing eight different Harmon Mutes. Let me know your thoughts!

Trent, thanks for posting this. Nowadays it's hard to find a shop with more than one or even two brands in stock to try. Nothing beats a side by side comparison.

We love the Zinger for Big Band work.

I use the Zinger all the time. I play a lot of big band and a fair amount of lead.

If I were to do a lot of solo work, I wouldn't use it. I don't think it has the right sound. I also don't think it blends well with a section of other brand mutes. Still, I use it because I can hear myself and it plays in tune and, works way down low and way up high.

Great mute with good projection and an open lower register!

Curious about this as well. I am assuming the answer is that it's the aluminum. Definitely made me think about getting one as I think it was my favorite out of all the ones recorded. Made me sad the Soulo one didnt sound like I was hoping/expecting, but I'm sure everything sounds a little different in person.

Was the all copper Zinger represented? I dont recall at the moment of typing.
