Trent, thanks for posting this. Nowadays it's hard to find a shop with more than one or even two brands in stock to try. Nothing beats a side by side comparison. _________________ Brian James

What brand would you use for Big Band ?
We love the Zinger for Big Band work. _________________ Feel free to email us anytime (no PM's please).

I use the Zinger all the time. I play a lot of big band and a fair amount of lead.
If I were to do a lot of solo work, I wouldn't use it. I don't think it has the right sound. I also don't think it blends well with a section of other brand mutes. Still, I use it because I can hear myself and it plays in tune and, works way down low and way up high. _________________ Joe Spitzer
Curious about this as well. I am assuming the answer is that it's the aluminum. Definitely made me think about getting one as I think it was my favorite out of all the ones recorded. Made me sad the Soulo one didnt sound like I was hoping/expecting, but I'm sure everything sounds a little different in person.
Was the all copper Zinger represented? I dont recall at the moment of typing. _________________ (List horns here)
