I've heard it and I agree. I enjoy her and Alison Balsom a bunch. Both classical and playing pops and standards.

Same here. They both seem to play with so little effort, but what they do is fantastic.

. . . and a hell of an arrangement!

My eyes don't always work do good - was that an all women's orchestra? Anybody know which one? Is that that Danish orchestra?

Don’t get me wrong. I love the way TTH plays. I have a TTH channel on my Pandora account.

But Libertango was meant to be revolutionary in its day. Sadly it’s been sanitized by most everyone since, maybe excepting Grace Jones.

Here’s the composer Astor Piazzolla performing it around the time it was first recorded. Way different. Can I get a flat 5 somebody?

Hey, Kehaulani, from what could see in the video it looked like an all women's orchestra and the concert shown was held in Kristiansand, Norway in March 2013. And the conductor's names sounded Norwegian. I'm not well versed in European symphony orchestras, but perhaps this info helps you.

Written by Astor Piazzolla, arranged by Øivind Westby. Orchestra conducted by Halldis Rønning. From the 100th anniversary celebration concert for women's right to vote (in Norway), at Kilden Theatre and Concert Hall in Kristiansand, March 8th, 2013.

Hi all

To add my tuppence worth (UK old expression!)
Both Tina and Alison's versions are equally wonderful. Interesting that both seem to be using Bach Strad C's - Alison's has custom leadpipe (Malone?) and 'C-shape' main slide. Tina also uses clip-on mic.

Did anyone catch Alison's devised production at the Globe, London a few years ago about a famous baroque trumpet player and his 2 upstart sons? Close your eyes and you'd never know she was playing on a natural trumpet!
