Can anyone point me to a good summary of Jerome Callet's system? It seems that his books are not only out of print, but unavailable even used.

And the Callet thread is overwhelming and I can't find a good summary vs. various technical specifics.

Just looking for a good, comprehensive, overview. Thank you.

Somewhere on the net I found a pdf of Jerry's Trumpet Yoga. I saved it to my favorites but that laptop died a few months back. If I can find it again I'll post the link. Ralph Salamone does a pretty good job of explaining Jerry's theories on his YouTube page.

Thanks. A good Samaritan sent me all the information a guy should ever need, LOL. I've been well taken care of. Thanks to both of you.

I studied with Jerry 20 or so years ago. I used what worked well for me and discarded the rest. Jerry was misunderstood by the so called normal trumpet community. He thoroughly believed in what he was teaching and was very passionate about it. He helped me and that's good enough for me. He was a good guy and his wife Yumiko is a nice lady.
He will be missed. Good luck. Aloha

I would recommend that you take a look at my websites, or Bahb Civiletti's.

There are very few people out there that teach Jerry's methods and I'm one of them. If you have any further questions then please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Oh Yeah! We're flying over next month for a 5 week visit with my wife's ohana. I've been working out like a maniac. I usually eat so much that I come back with a lot of extra weight. Sweet potato haupia pie from Ani's in Aiea is my nemesis. That pie has ruined every other dessert for me it's so good. Last fall I was there for 35 days and was in the gym every morning and still gained 5 pounds.
I'm planning on catching a few local musicians live as well. Big fan of Led Kaapana. He's got a regular gig at Honey's in Kaneohe. Great guy. Hopefully we'll get a chance to hear DeShannon Higa if he's playing locally. He's a really fine trumpeter. Jake Shimabukuro is doing a few nights at the Blue Note in Waikiki as well. Always love seeing Jake.

Honey's. I used to hear Don Ho there when he was still studying at the U.H. Have a great time, I'll be thinking enviously of you.

I get to Aiea fairly often. I go through Ani's Sweet Potato Pies like water.
You know Rick Broadwell? Plays with the Royal Hawaiian Band.

Honey's is now at the Ko'Olau Golf Course. Pretty nice place and beautiful view of the mountains.
I heard Don once while waiting for him to finish his show. We were waiting outside to see Frank Delima who did the late show. My wife was telling me Frank would pick on me because I'm haole. Instead he teased my wife about being pake the whole night. Left me alone.

No, I do not know him. But I do know about those pies!

Rick has been with the RHB for quite a while. Haole guy, bald and has a beard. Probably 50, last I heard he lives in Pearl City.
I met him years ago. He was choir director at St. Elizabeth’s in Palama. My wife grew up in that church. St Elizabeth’s is right next door to the Kaumakapili Hawaiian church.
You know Mike Lewis? He’s a good friend of a trumpeter I know in my town. They graduated from high school together. I’m supposed to look him up next month when we come over.

I've just come across this technique and I'm fascinated. Would you be able to direct me to the Good Samaritan that got you the goods? I'm having difficulty finding what I'm looking for to learn the TCE. Thanks.

Take a look at my websites... Firstly http://tonguecontrolled.info/ which is a more static site that explains some general concepts. Then the blog at https://trumpetpla.net/blog which has a fair number of recent Callet-related posts, plus some older ones.

Any questions you can get in touch via email.

@billkard - "Would you be able to direct me to the Good Samaritan that got you the goods? I'm having difficulty finding what I'm looking for to learn the TCE."

I wouldn't feel comfortable revealing his actual name and contact information or putting any extra work on him. Perhaps he will see this and contact you. Good Luck.
