Hello all,

The Arona Music Academy will be hosting a masterclass with Stephen Burns in a spectacular setting on Italy's Lake Maggiore from November 12-14. Arona is easily reachable via train from Milan and about a half hour from the Milano Malpensa airport.

Tuition is €230 and includes piano accompaniment.

His "Telemann for Trumpet" is my desert island trumpet record.

The Vivace from TWV 44 is perfect. I was listening to the recording of the same by Maurice Andre and wondered what was wrong. Then I realized what a template for playing Burns has made, passing even that master in this case.
