LA Benge valve switch

Had a gig with some well-respected players last week so I thought I would clean and oil the valves right before leaving the house.

When I started playing, the Flugel felt strangely stuffy, some notes were worse than others and the valves were sticky... but all notes still played.

After playing the whole first set it dawned on me to check the valves and ... I had put the first valve into 3 and the third valve into 1 ...

I'm Amazed that the horn still played! Whenever I screwed up like this before (with other horns) no air could go through the horn at all. (live and learn)
