It should be obvious. He's trying to cheat PayPal by asking buyers to use PayPal "Friends and Family" for a purchase, which is a clear violation of the PayPal users' agreement. If someone is asking you to help them cheat PayPal, it's probably a bad idea to do business with them. And of course, once the seller has your money, PayPal will not help you with your complaint.

We are talking about $42 here on a 1450 purchase. $1400 seems to be on the high end for a Strad, but I don’t see any significant advantage to the *seller* to not include the fees in the asking price other than making the price slightly more attractive. |
