I have taken students to get horns at Landress, of course the staff is very accomodating and they usually have a handful of beginner/intermediate horns. Doubtful that you'll finding anything in the price range you are looking, however...not many shops will stock horns at that price point.

SVT Vintage Horns has some really great horns in the $200-$300 range-they are on FB.
