I'm looking to try some additional leadpipes for one of my Bb trumpets. I know there's a gadget that clips on to the original leadpipe and has a slot to hold the new leadpipe in place. Do any of you know where I can purchase one of these leadpipe holders??? Not sure what they're actually called!

Thanks,
Butch

Hello Butch,
If you are only trying one extra leadpipe, have your local tech solder on a mp shank to your loose pipe. He will have to solder in an 1/8th shim to make it work. If there are multiple pipes, the tech should have some stretchy wide bands that act as removable zip ties. Wide pieces of cork between pipes will protect the finish of the pipes.

Look at

Mouthpipe Comparator

at the M/K bending and drawing web site. That may be what you are looking for

Brass buzzer buzz aid works great and costs around $20.
