I got "video unavailable" above but the link worked fine. I notice at the end she seems as ready to collapse as I do, but it sounded effortless.

I haven't seen this CD available in the US yet.

I always enjoy watching the recording sessions like this. It's too bad that once you buy the CD you can't also be able to watch the entire recording session videos.

I stumbled across this a few days ago myself. Amazing.

Awesome! People who don't play the nat/baroque trumpet have no idea how incredibly difficult that was! I love her playing on any trumpets, but particularly enjoy it when she plays on the baroque beast. I particularly enjoy her "Sound the Trumpet" CD! (In fact, I have an autographed copy!)

Pat

P.S. Yes, I made the trumpet in my avatar at the Natural Trumpet Making Workshop with Bob Barclay and Rick Seraphinoff. Got it silver plated at Anderson...

Very nice. One of my favorite tunes. I like Ms. Balsom's interpretation. And she does that entire last phrase in one breath! Don't think I've ever heard that before.

Yes "Sound The Trumpet" is fantastic. Her sound is superb.

Good job on the trumpet making.

Magnificent. What I saw, after looking up the title since this will not play in the US was just the I Adagio, but quite wonderful.

Thanks for posting.

I think you'l find it'll play if you click on the title or the term "link" below the video - actually it'll open Youtube and play there, for some reason lately many Youtube videos don't want to play within the TH site - maybe something to do with the Cloudflare security?

Thank you Robert. Yes, that worked like a charm. I will remember that.
It is the same video I saw. Phenomenal sound.
I have often wondered what the contribution of the modern mouthpiece is to her sound, but however she gets it, I am a great fan. She has hit upon a sound that works in both directions, pleasing to the modern ear and keeping the sonorousness of historical instruments. I know there are those that are not in favor of this approach, and they can produce a different but also attractive sound too, just different. As long as the baroque trumpet (instead of the natural trumpet) is being used, we are not entirely historical, so I genuinely enjoy seeing and hearing how various players use techniques, tones and equipment along the continuum from historical to modern to make this wonderful music come to life. I am certainly glad to see her back performing and recording, particularly on the baroque trumpet.
