this is great playing, like everything he does. I was going to post it a few days ago but every time something about louis goes up people go crazy. The guy can flat out play, but i know there will be people on here shortly saying all he can do is play high, and its not my cup of tea. BLAH, BLAH BLAH.
the guy is a gem in the trumpet world i think anyway.
He's playing a different horn on this one, Not his gold bach, did he switch to a new company?
Great Stuff Louis As Usual !!

Superb playing, very musical. I think I would actually die if I tried to play that.
(Makes me want to get my Tony Scodwell "Big Band Classics" book out and work on my lead chops a bit... The neighbors will love that...) _________________ Yamaha 8310Z trumpet

Loved the way he kept his sound so huge throughout the different registers! Beautifully expressive playing! |

I thought it was great playing, but I also thought the tone is a bit too bright for an orchestral type piece. I think if he'd used one of his deeper mouthpieces it would have been perfect. Just a constructive criticism - I always enjoy hearing Louis play!
Cheers,
John Mohan |

Two absolute monsters.. I shouldn't even dare talking about them... I agree that Louis Dowdeswell has a very bright tone and this is not mariachi music.. listening Andrea giuffredi with my eyes closed I saw three gunmen, and I smelled the gunpowder |
