Does anybody here know where, on this mere speck of dust we call Earth, the score and parts, or just the parts to the Maurice Andre recoding/version of the Vivaldi Concerto in A-flat? Yes, I mean this one:

Thanks for any info.

I don't think this is the same piece in question by the OP.

I recall being blown away by this when I first heard Andre play it, so worked it up back in the mid 1970s. I should have the trumpet and piano music in my music stacks someplace in the house. Let me look around to locate them.

It is a violin sonatat, Vivaldi Opus 2, Number 4.

It's on page 11 here:

http://imslp.eu/files/imglnks/euimg/8/80/IMSLP393911-PMLP183164-Vivaldi_12_Sonatas_op.2_Vl_%26_Po_Vol.1_Violin.pdf

Andre only recorded the last three movements.
Its originally in F, which I think means if you played it on an Eb trumpet as written it would take you into Ab.

Just to be clear, I am looking for the ORCHESTRAL parts to the version recorded by Andre with Karajan and the Berlin Philharmonic (hmm . . perhaps I should contact the librarian at the Berliner Philharmoniker, there's a thought). I ha e the published piano and trumpet version and for further clarity, and in case anybody is interested, and this took ME a while to research the piece was originally a Sonata for Violin and Piano, specifically, Sonata in F Major for Violin and Piano, Op. 2, No. 4, RV 20. (Thank you). If interested, I have a copy of the trumpet part that Andre Plays with the keyboard part from the original version. If you want it, tell me what key you want it in, send me 5 dollars via PayPal and it's yours! OR if you tell me where I can find the orchestral parts from the Andre orchestra version, it's yours for free!

The recording with Karajan was the second time Andre had recorded it. I have an earlier version on a Philips album. I am not sure what date as I am not at home but its from the 60s.

IIRC the Ab version with piano was published by Selmer, who had a music publishing division at this time. I think my earlier recording says this along with the arrangers name. It might be worth reaching out to Raymond Andre - Maurice's son. He is an orchestral trumpet player in Spain and speaks Spanish and French. I don't know him but I know people who have met him professionally and he does a bit of teaching too.

It was indeed a Selmer publication, Jean Thilde the arranger. I searched long and hard to find it was impossible to find. At least it gave me a reason to create my own from the original, which was not in Ab.

See here:

Obviously this is not the same arrangement but its in the same key and its only $60.

Wasn't Raymond André Maurice André's brother?
